Booking Information and Terms & Conditions

Please read all below, as by booking you are accepting these Terms & Conditions.

Please contact us either by Telephone ( 01229 717 151 or 07733 085 093 ) or by the Contact Form here to confirm that the house is available on the dates you require. We can then hold the date for you for three days to give you time to send your payment. Sorry we are unable to take provisional bookings.

Please note we do not provide Towels and T - Towels

We request a 20% deposit for reservations, payable within 3 days. If no deposit is received within this period, we reserve the right to offer the reservation to any other interested parties, without notice.

Balance of the total holiday cost is required 60 days before the arrival date.

We suggest that you take out holiday insurance in case you need to cancel as all monies paid are non-returnable. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking, all monies paid will be returned. Sorry but we can not accept liability for any additional costs incurred by yourselves as a result of cancelling your booking.

We don’t request a ‘Good Housekeeping and Security’ deposit, however guests are responsible for leaving the accommodation in good order and in a clean condition. Please report any breakages or damages to ourselves during or at the end of your stay.

Bed linen is provided and all beds are made-up for arrival. Please bring towels and tea towels. We provide 2 toilet rolls per bathroom per stay. The price includes central heating (see below), fuel for the fires (see below), electricity and free wi-fi.

Eskmeals House has a cot, baby changing table and high chair available. Cot linen is provided.

During the Winter period, the central heating is set to come on between the hours of 7:45am - 11:30am and 3pm - 12:30am. If you require central heating outside of these hours, there is an extra charge each day (payable in advance but refunded in full or in part if not used) of £15 between 11:30am - 3pm and £20 between 12:30am - 7:45am.

We provide 3 scuttles of coal filled for your arrival, plus 1 bag of coal per day, for the duration of your stay. Sorry, we do not provide logs. If you require more coal or logs, these are available locally at Holmrook Service Station ( 01946 724247 ) approximately 8 miles from the house.

Sorry, we are unable to accommodate caravans, marquees/gazebos, hot tubs or fireworks (without exception).

Eskmeals House is Non-Smoking inside the property.

Lost Property - Unfortunately and due to the considerable amount of left items we are asked to return each year, we have had to introduce a minimum charge of £10 (payable in advance) to cover the cost of postage, packaging and travelling to the post office.

Please notify ourselves of any omissions, concerns or complaints, during the period of your rental, as we are unable to consider or resolve any matters after your stay.

We can not be held liable for the content of all websites that we may be listed on.

We are unable to accept any liability for loss, damage or injury caused to personal belongings, motor vehicles or persons as a result of your stay. The holidaymakers’ vehicles and their contents and the holidaymakers’ personal belongings are left at Eskmeals House during ( and after ) the period of the holiday, entirely at the risk of the holidaymaker.

No liability can be accepted and no compensation paid by ourselves, where the holidaymaker or those in the holidaymakers’ party, or  their  personal property, suffer any loss, damage, injury, disappointment, inconvenience or otherwise, or where the performance or prompt performance of any obligations by ourselves are prevented or affected by ‘Force Majeure’. In this instance ‘Force Majeure’ means any event which we could not have foreseen or avoided including ( but not limited to ), war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial action, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, disease, non availability of transport services, interruption to services / utilities and all similar events outside of our control.

We reserve the right to make alterations to these terms & conditions without notice.
