ESKMEALS HOUSE  is a charming Georgian detached residence set in its own grounds consisting of natural grounds, a walled garden, front lawns and woodland which is approximately seven acres in total. The house is close to the Irish Sea, Eskmeals beach, Eskmeals Nature Reserve (S.S.S.I.) and surrounded by rich pastureland with spectacular views of the Lakeland Fells and hills.

Eskmeals House is located in the Western Lake District, near to Ravenglass and the wonderful Eskdale Valley, Wastwater (England`s deepest lake) and Scafell Pike (highest mountain in England) and is within easy travelling distance of all of the vast activities that the Lake District has to offer.

The house is ideal for celebrations, business functions, groups or families wishing to enjoy the space and ambience of a large country residence.

The house is full of character with large rooms featuring Georgian fireplaces and stoves for cosy evenings.

Kitchen - Range style halogen cooker (5 cooking elements, two ovens and grill), microwave, tall fridge, dishwasher. Ample quantities (for up to 21 guests) of white bone china, crockery and pans, etc. (12’6” x 12’)

Drawing Room - with stripped floor, multi-fuel stove, television with Freeview, DVD Player, iPod Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi

Transmitter and large window overlooking the front garden. (16’ x 21’)

Banquet Style Dining Room - with stone floor, inglenook fireplace with multi-fuel stove.

Breakfast and Extra Food Storage Room - featuring a tall fridge, wine/beer cooler, tall freezer, large pine prep’ table, Welsh dresser, washer dryer, iron & ironing board.

Checklist of items included

Bed linen (duvets and white cotton linen). Beds are made up for arrival. Cot linen is provided.

2 x Toilet Rolls per Lavatory.

Coal. We provide coal per reservation sufficient for your stay. Sorry, we do not provide logs. If you require more coal or logs, these are available locally at Holmrook Garage approximately 8 miles from the house.

Oil Central Heating. During the Winter period, the Central Heating is set to come on between the hours of 7:45am - 11:30am and 3pm - 12:30am. If you require central heating outside of these hours, there is an extra charge each day (payable in advance) of £15 between 11:30am - 3pm and £20 between 12:30am - 7:45am.


Ample Parking (Approximately 10 cars). Sorry we are unable to accommodate caravans.
